We love working locally and supporting our local business community. As a label printing company, inkREADible offers a range of labels that cover various industry sectors from gifts, artisan food produce, health and beauty and electrical and gas.
An interesting area of our business is labels and stickers for fire protection safety equipment. A regular customer of ours is Westcountry Fire Protection Ltd, who have recently been adding to their range of labels for fire safety equipment.
Repeat business is a sign that we are meeting the high standards expected from the fire safety industry, and Westcountry Fire Protection are steadily adding to their label repertoire. This ensures that safety equipment is marked with contact details, logo, and crucial safety information like next test due and so on. In this quick-fire Q&A, Roy Blunt, their Operations Manager, describes our working relationship and the challenges they have faced in their label journey.
Can you provide a brief description of what you do and how long you have been working with inkREADible?
“I am the Operations Manager for a fire protection company. I have personally worked with inkREADible for 18 months, but the company Westcountry Fire Protection already had the relationship going back at least 3 years.”
Could you share specific challenges you encountered in your labelling process, and how inkREADible worked collaboratively to address and overcome them?
“When I started working at Westcountry Fire Protection, the service labels we used on the fire extinguishers were of a paper style and thus the writing faded. We have moved over to laminate labels, and this has solved the issue.”
How have you added to your variance of labels over time?
“This time last year we only had two different styles of label, but we now have around 6. Volume has increased too, with an additional few thousand extra a year ordered.”
